Wear A Suit with Confidence.

 

Someone asked me not long ago, how can clothes make me feel more confident? in which i answered “i don’t know”… Only joking thats not what i said. But Have you ever noticed when your watching a TV show like suits or Mad men and the lead character enters a room, and you just know he means business!

Have they ever been wearing a bad suit?

Has there hair ever been out of place or their shoes not appropriate?

Its very unlikely, if so the stylist is in trouble… My point being, regardless that its just a show, the powerful lead characters use confidence to pull it off. In truth, if clothes don’t make you feel good than you’re probably not buying the right clothes to suit your body. Whether you’re a man or a woman they should give you a figure, and that goes for plus size too.

I still get the same feeling about clothes as i did when i was little, my mum bought me a new pair of shoes and i had to wear them straight away. My old ones would go into the new shoe box and id wear my new shoes out of the shop, and probably the rest of the that week. If a fiend made a nice passing comment…i was Winning! This may not occur every time you buy a new suit but it should, because thats the confidence you need to be that man who steps in the room and looks as though he means business.

Dress Like you Mean Business

Looking for love? It’s a mine field and the game is always changing. We are all searching for it yet only a lucky few have the chance to hold onto it. The price of love is now a multi million pound industry, with dating websites among the highest visited sites on the web. So how do we get past the first date?

Lets face it… First dates can be terrifying specially if you are new to the game, the hit Tv show on channel 4 “First Dates” gives an interesting insight in to dating and the troubles single men and women face. Personality will always be the up most importance, but also dressing to the surrounding which the date is set. Every woman has her own unique taste in men however across the board women love a man suited and booted. There is nothing wrong with showing you have style and that you are willing to make the effort.

What ever you chose to do on your first date the 2 choices you have for clothes are smart or smart casual, showing up in jeans and a t-shirt will not say much in regards to making an effort to impress, and don’t forget SHOES. Women really do notice them, i promise!

Smart Casual

  • Crisp white or pale blue shirt
  • Knitted Tie
  • Layer with V-neck jumper or cardigan
  • Blazer (Navy, Grey, Cream, Dark Green, Tweed) Stick with block colour if you are not sure
  • Chino trousers
  • Statement Watch
  • Both Brogues and Chelsea boots can be worn in multiple ways for a smart feel.  Smart Casual

Smart

  • Simple tailored grey suit with black tie
  • 3 piece Navy suit
  • Navy suit with tanned Accessories
  • Navy/Grey suit with Minimal pattern
  • Match pocket square to accessories or shirt. Go with a plain white pocket square if unsure.
  • Silk or nitted tie
  • Black or tanned smart shoes.
